Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to submit with my intake package? To guide you through the intake process, our First Visit Checklist and Intake forms are available for download on our Daycare Services page. You will need to fill out and sign our intake forms (Dog Registration Form & Waiver Form). After this we require that you or your vet email us your dog’s vaccination records (Core vaccines and Bordatella), proof of flea/tick/lice treatment, and proof of spay neuter (if dog is over 6 months). These requirements ensure that all our guests remain safe, healthy and happy during their stay.

What vaccinations are required for my dog to attend daycare? To ensure the safety and health of our guests, we require all dogs to have the following up-to-date vaccinations: DA2PP or DA2PPC, Bordatella (Canine cough), and Rabies. We also require proof of regular flea/tick/lice prevention treatments. Please contact our staff if you are unsure if your preferred flea/tick/lice treatment is approved.

Do I have to be present for the entire assessment day? No, you don’t! After you book your assessment day and submit your intake package, you can drop your dog off and pick them up at the end of the day (assessment must be 1 full day).

Why do I have to book an assessment day? We require an assessment day for all new guests to introduce the dog to our staff and facility to ensure they are a good fit. Our staff reserve the right to deny daycare or boarding services to any dog that is aggressive or shows severe anxiety behaviours that can be dangerous for our other guests and staff.

Does my dog have to be spayed/neutered to attend daycare and/or boarding? Yes, all dogs over the age of 6 months need to have proof of spay/neuter.

Is there a benefit to kennel-free boarding? The simple answer is… it depends! Well-balanced and socialized dogs typically do well with kennel-free boarding as it provides them with the freedom to select their preferred sleeping space. This accommodation replicates the home environment as much as possible for your dog.

If I am bringing my dog for daycare on the weekend, do I have to call in advance? Yes! By advance notice only, daycare is available on weekends Saturday-Sunday 9:00AM-5:00PM. We require at least 24 hours notice before weekend drop-offs for daycare. Advance notice is also required for daycare drop-off Monday-Friday 6:30AM-6:00PM.

If I am bringing my dog for boarding, do I have to call in advance? Yes, boarding requires advanced booking to guarantee availability. All boarders must also attend a full assessment day before the owner leaves for vacation if they have never attended our daycare. Boarders are required to attend daycare at least once per week and on a regular basis to ensure they are well established and familiar with the other dogs and our staff/facility.

Is there a cancellation fee for boarding? Yes, a cancellation fee of $58+GST per dog may be charged if we do not receive notice of schedule changes at least 72 hours in advance
